You are invited to attend a special 2.5-day course on design for additive manufacturing (DfAM). Topics covered include consolidating many parts into one, topology optimization, and lattice/mesh structures. The course includes considerations for metal, polymer, and composite materials, the creation of custom parts, and reducing the need for expensive support material. Presentations and hands-on exercises cover these and many other topics. Read More
Click here for the 2.5-day course outline. Our past courses in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, South Africa, and the U.S. have received an overall average score of 4.6 from the participants, with five being the best.
The images show a hydraulic manifold for Atlas Copco mining equipment. The version on the left is conventionally machined with 12 nozzles that must be installed. The one at the right was redesigned for and produced by AM. It reduced weight by 91% and consolidated 13 parts into one, resulting in lower assembly cost, less weight and scrap, and the elimination of potential leakage points. Learn how to design these and many other types of parts in this special DfAM course. Register now!
